Enter Mike Begum (or better known as Broly Legs to his gaming community). Begum suffers from a rare condition known as arthrogryposis that renders him unable to command his hands and legs, with the exception of a finger and thumb on his left hand. The condition would be considered a great disability in terms of any normal activities, and especially when playing fighter games that require a high degree of hand-eye coordination.
Despite his disadvantage, Begum has discovered his own unique way of controlling joystick motions. Using only his left finger and “cheek” as he professed, he is able to control his character at will and execute often difficult-to-master in-game combos and setups. This was obviously only attainable through Begum’s divine passion for the game as well as his iron-willed determination.
This inspirational story doesn’t end here though. Mike Begum doesn’t just play fighting games with his mouth and finger, he is a winner at them. Having participated in a good number of tournaments, he has displayed great ability and often places high in them.

The admirable part of Begum is that he doesn’t see himself as a disabled person. By bravely challenging conventional stereotypes of disabilities and successfully emerging as a champion, Begum is a true inspiration to everyone out there.
